Les Clos is the largest (24 hectares) of the seven Grand Crus vineyards in Chablis. It was here that the first vines were planted in Chablis. Its name probably originates from the stone walls with which the vineyard was fenced in the Middle Ages.
Many connoisseurs of wines from Chablis consider Les Clos wines to be the first in a bouquet, strength and aftertaste.
It also has an excellent potential for aging, the best years' wines can easily be aged for 15 to 20 years!
The area of vineyards is 1.3 hectares
The average age of the vines is 37 years.
