Vaudesir is one of seven Grand Cru sites in Chablis, the relief of which has no analogues. It is one of the largest sites that is located in the center of a large hill that descends to the city of Chablis. The round shape of the vineyard and the steep slope create an amphitheater with two exposures (one to the south in the northern part and the other to the south-west in the southern part). A small canal for water, dug in the middle of the vineyard, defined its name: Val du Desir.
